According to police, his family became concerned for his safety after not hearing from him.

For weeks, the teenager's disappearance continued without any progress until Coleman's brother recognized Troy on the Clix and Lacy live broadcast, according to a nonprofit organization A voice for the voicelesswhich disseminates information on cases of missing persons.

The brother then took to social media and said Coleman was seen in the video wearing green shorts, according to Lacy's post.

A screenshot from a livestream of the stream, which has over 8 million subscribers, shows a young man wearing a green swimsuit. The platform from which the stream originated is unknown.

The organization then told Coleman's brother that Troy was staying at a hotel in Miami, according to Lacy's message.

Lacy's message also indicated that Coleman had been placed in a holding cell in Miami pending transfer to Michigan.

“Three months ago a 17 year old went missing and was charged with homicide. Yesterday he came to me and Clix and now his family knows he is alive and in Miami,” Lacy wrote. “The internet is going crazy.”

Investigators then tracked Coleman to Miami and are working with local police in the area to bring him safely back to Michigan to be with his family, police said.
