Michigan man convicted of meth in Cabell County

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WOWK) – A Michigan man has been sentenced to prison for drug crimes in West Virginia.

Larry Williams Jr., 53, of Pontiac, Michigan, will spend the next seven years behind bars for distribution of methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of West Virginia. His prison sentence must be followed by three years of supervised release.


Court records indicate Williams sold one gram of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Huntington on Feb. 9, 2023, and sold a “quantity of heroin” to a confidential informant in Huntington on Jan. 31, 2023, and March 16, 2023.

A search warrant was executed at Williams' home in Huntington on March 21, 2023. Court records indicate authorities found approximately 134 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of heroin, six grams of fentanyl and 18 grams of cocaine base or “crack”. Authorities said there were also digital scales, a pharmaceutical press and approximately $292 in the home.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of West Virginia, Williams admitted to possessing and intending to distribute controlled substances.
