Miami-Dade police confirm 3 deaths, including a child; a shooting allegedly took place in front of the Chase bank

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – Three victims are dead, including a child, after a shooting in Miami-Dade, which a source close to the investigation said occurred in the drive-thru of a Chase bank.

The suspect is also dead, according to the source.

The bank is located on a strip mall off Bird Road and Southwest 152nd Avenue.

According to the source, two vehicles were waiting for the bank's drive-thru to open when a man in a vehicle got out and shot and killed her husband, mother and child in the vehicle that was parked next to him in the drive-thru.

The shooter then killed himself, the source said.

According to the source, the motive remains unclear and it is also unclear whether the shooter and the victims knew each other.

A Local 10 News viewer told Local 10 in an email that she was attending a Pilates class at Kendall West Mall at 7:30 a.m. when the instructor announced he heard about 15 gunshots.

She said he then locked the door and moved everyone to the back of the studio.
