Memories of Pulse Shooting's 8th Anniversary in Orlando – June 12-16

Osceola County leaders will unveil plans Wednesday for a Pulse shooting tribute piece to be built in Osceola County during an invitation-only event. Although the shooting took place in Orlando, Osceola County has a deep connection to the event: A number of the 49 people who died lived in Osceola, and many of their family members, friends and survivors live here.

Additionally, here is a list of memorials in Orlando for Wednesday's eighth anniversary of the tragic Pulse nightclub shooting on June 12, 2016, when 49 innocent people lost their lives in the terrorist-style shooting.

Wednesday, 4 p.m.: Ringing ceremony of the 49 bells
First United Methodist Church of Orlando, 142 East Jackson Street

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join the families of the victims and survivors and for the ringing of the 49 bells in honor of the 49 angels.

Wednesday, 7 p.m.: Pulse Remembrance Ceremony
Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, 445 South Magnolia Avenue

Mayor Dyer will join city commissioners, victims' families, survivors, first responders and the community for the annual Pulse remembrance ceremony.

Until June 16: Display of Pulse prayer ribbons at City Hall
City Hall Square, 400 South Orange Avenue

The city of Orlando will display prayer ribbons by Massachusetts-based artist Jay Critchley in honor of the 49 victims of the Pulse tragedy. The ribbons will be on display in front of city hall until Sunday, June 16.
