Memorial Day Weekend Celebrations at Stonewall Resort

Although Monday may be the last day of Stonewall Resort's weekend celebrations, there will be no shortage of fun activities, such as a scavenger hunt, hula hoop competition, bounce house, kayak rentals, surfboard rentals, paddle and canoe and lawn games will take place between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The day will begin with a Memorial Day ceremony, which will include the presentation of the colors, a presentation from the Lewis County Honor Guard, a prayer, a 21-gun salute and more.


West Virginia Memorial Day Parade

Grafton is ready to host its annual West Virginia Memorial Day Parade, a tradition that has continued for more than 150 years. The parade will include horses, carriages, baton corps, dance groups, floats and more. The event is free and will take place from the Mother's Day Shrine on East Main Street.

VFW Memorial Day Caravan

The Marion County Veterans Council will host the VFW Memorial Day caravan on Monday. The line is expected to begin at 8:45 a.m. at VFW Post 629, where the caravan will then travel to several locations including Veterans Square Plaza, Palatine Park Boat Docks, Maple Grove Cemetery and Grandview Memorial Gardens .

Memorial Day Auto Show

The town of Belington will host a Memorial Day car show that will include food and music, in addition to vehicles. Registration begins at 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and prizes will be awarded from 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Belington VFW Park 404 Dayton Loop.

Pricketts Fort State Park

Pricketts Fort State Park in Fairmont will offer free admission to all veterans who visit, making it a perfect opportunity to spend time outdoors with loved ones.
