Leonardo DiCaprio has always been a very private man, and his 17-year-old niece Normandie Farrar seems to be too.

DiCaprio, who is childless at 49, reportedly took his teenage niece shopping at Tiffany & Co. and Prada, to name a few.

Leo's father, George DiCaprio, and stepmother, Peggy Farrar, also reportedly attended the outing. They then spent some family time at the South Beverly Grill.

Who are Normandie Farrar's parents?

Normandie Farrar would be the daughter of Charity Moore and Adam Farrar. Although Leo has no siblings, the Oscar winner is related to Adam as a half-brother through Leo's stepmother, Peggy Ann Farrar.

She was once “abducted” by a member of her family.

The Normandy parents would have had some run-ins with the law over the years. According to Hollywood Life, Normandie was allegedly “kidnapped” by a family member in 2014, before Adam was arrested in Texas on drug charges. His mother had also been arrested on the same charges a few days earlier.

The Telegraph appears to have confirmed this, writing that Adam was accused of hiding his then six-year-old daughter from authorities, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

She was later found safe and in the care of her grandfather George in Los Angeles, according to British media.

She is now enjoying the high life with her famous uncle

Leo seems to get along well with his niece. Last summer he was photographed on a yacht with Normandie, his father and stepmother, while they were on holiday on the Italian coast.
