Mecosta County Sheriff's Blotter, June 16-30

MECOSTA COUNTY — Mecosta County Sheriff's Office officers responded to the following calls June 16-30. This is part of a report submitted by the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office and compiled by Deputy Editor Julie Norwood. Not all calls may be reported.

Deerfield Township: On June 17, at 8:35 a.m., police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Northland Drive near 4 Mile Road. Police said an 18-year-old driver lost control, left the roadway, struck a large log and overturned. Emergency responders transported the driver to hospital with minor injuries. The two passengers in the vehicle were not injured.

Aetna Township: At 9:57 a.m. on June 17, deputies arrested a man on a warrant.

Canton of Martiny: On June 17 at 8:37 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash. After investigating, they arrested the driver for DUI. She was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Aetna Township: A traffic stop conducted on June 17 at 8:41 p.m. led to the driver's arrest for drunk driving. He was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Morton Township: At 9:06 p.m. on June 17, deputies responded to a domestic complaint and arrested the man for assault on his wife and the woman for probation violation and arrest warrant. Both were booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Canton of Fourche: On June 18 at 11:52 p.m., officers responded to a domestic assault and arrested a woman for assaulting her boyfriend. She was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Colfax Township: On June 19 at 10:09 p.m., officers arrested a man on a warrant. He was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Canton of Martiny: At 12:45 p.m. on June 20, deputies arrested a man for possession of methamphetamine and two warrants. He was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Millbrook Township: At 2:57 p.m. on June 20, deputies arrested a man on a warrant and fled the scene. He was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Canton of the Green Charter: On June 20 at 10:45 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic complaint and arrested a man for assaulting a woman. He was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Mecosta Township: On June 21 at 9:50 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at Northland Drive and 8 Mile Road. Police said a 58-year-old male driver failed to yield to a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old male. Emergency responders transported the 58-year-old female to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Her 9-year-old passenger and the 61-year-old female were not injured.

Big Rapids Township: On June 22 at 6:41 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash and arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated. She was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.

Morton Township: Around 1 p.m. on June 22, deputies responded to a private residence for a UTV. Police said three juveniles were operating a UTV. When the driver got out, one of the other passengers hit the gas pedal, causing the UTV to crash into a tree. Emergency responders transported both juveniles to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Canton of Martiny: On June 23 at 9:57 a.m., deputies arrested a man on an outstanding warrant and booked him into the Mecosta County Jail.

Canton of Martiny: At 12:43 p.m. on June 24, deputies responded to 15 Mile Road and 110th Avenue where a 53-year-old Rodney man struck a deer on his motorcycle. EMS transported the motorcyclist to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with non-life threatening injuries.

Aetna Township: At 11:41 p.m. on June 25, deputies arrested a man on multiple warrants and booked him into the Mecosta County Jail.

Chippewa Township: On June 28 at 6:31 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic complaint and arrested a man for assault. He was booked into the Mecosta County Jail.
