Mecosta County man arrested for child sex abuse – The Morning Sun

A 37-year-old Mecosta County man was charged Monday with two counts of child sexual abuse after being arrested Saturday.

Jeffrey James Harvell of Big Rapids is being held in the Mecosta County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail and must wear a GPS tether if convicted, according to state police.

Harvell was arraigned in 77th District Court in Big Rapids.

Harvell faces a possible sentence of 20 years in prison on each count if convicted, state police said.
