McCracken County men charged with trafficking meth

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office arrested two McCracken County men Friday afternoon during a drug investigation in the Farley area of ​​McCracken County. Detectives seized approximately 157 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.

On 05/31/2024, deputies and detectives conducted a drug investigation at a residence located at 1436 Yarbro Lane in McCracken County. During the investigation, officers searched the residence and located approximately 17 grams of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Deputies arrested Calvin Thompson, 58, in connection with drugs found inside the residence.

While the investigation was underway at the residence, Angel Medina, 38, arrived at the residence with his minor child in the vehicle. During a probable cause search of Medina's vehicle, detectives located approximately 140 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was concealed in a door panel of the vehicle. Medina was arrested.

Both Thompson and Medina were on felony parole at the time of their arrest for unrelated felony convictions. Both men were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Arrested: Calvin D. Thompson, 58, of Yarbro Lane (McCracken County)

Charges: trafficking methamphetamine 2sd or subsequent offense, trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces 2sd or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia

Arrested: Angel A. Medina 38, of Benton Road (McCracken County)

Charges: trafficking methamphetamine 2sd or subsequent offense, trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces 2sd or subsequent offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and wanton endangerment 2sd offense
