Maywood homicide victim identified

A 28-year-old man who was fatally shot in Maywood was identified Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Armando Islas, Jr.

The shooting was reported around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 4800 block of E. 58th Street, west of the Los Angeles River, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
