Maryland man missing; truck found empty after crash

MARYLAND (DC News Now) — Police said an Anne Arundel County man was reported missing after his pickup truck was found wrecked in Prince George's County on Wednesday.

In a news release, Maryland State Police (MSP) said Mark Raymond Mathias, 54, of Odenton, Maryland, was last seen around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Anne Arundel County.

Police believe he may have traveled to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport or other nearby areas.

MSP found Mathias' white Chevrolet Silverado around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday along northbound Interstate 95 near Brooklyn Bridge Road in Prince George's County. Police said the truck was involved in a single-vehicle crash.

When police responded, they found no one in the truck.

Mathias is 5'8″ and weighs approximately 280 pounds. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a black t-shirt and a black baseball cap.
