Maryland man convicted of relentlessly cyberstalking multiple victims, 5 in eastern Virginia.

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Maryland man was sentenced Friday to eight years and four months in prison after relentlessly harassing multiple victims, including five victims from the Eastern District of Virginia, for a year and a half.

Court documents reveal that Joseph Bourabah, 27, harassed and stalked several people from September 2021 to February 2023, even going so far as to harass the victims' family, their tenants and their former employees.

In September 2021, Bourabah used a fake account on Facebook to share pornographic content and spread false accusations against a victim. Shortly thereafter, in October and November, Bourabah sent pornographic videos of the victim to the victim's family and friends.

During this time, Bourabah also sent emails to the victim on several occasions, including an email containing a link to a website where Bourabah had posted videos of the victim, along with the victim's name and his former employers, according to court documents.

Bourabah also harassed the victim's mother, after repeatedly posting pornographic videos on his social networks.

On February 23, 2022, Bourabah created a fake post on Craigslist, advertising the mother's pet ducks for free, resulting in them being taken. Shortly after, Bourabah also posted a fake item on Craigslist advertising his trampoline for free.

According to court documents, Bourabah also advertised that another victim's car was available for free and even attempted to have it towed.

In January 2023, Bourabah used a photo of the victim with her home address to advertise a party called “[victim’s name] Pedo Kink Party. Bourabah told the victim in a December 26, 2021 email: “I will never stop. I'm going to troll your kids' babysitter in 10 years.

Court documents say Bourabah also harassed that victim's mother, posting false ads on Craigslist for a Halloween costume party, New Year's party and open house. He was also found to have ordered unsolicited services to the mother's home, including tree felling, carpet cleaning, trash removal and towing.

An investigation showed that Bourabah harassed approximately 31 victims, including at least five living in the Eastern District of Virginia. Court documents reveal that more than 1,000 harassment charges were filed against 31 victims.
