Martin Mull, comedian and star of 'Clue,' 'Roseanne' and 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch,' dies at 80

Martin Mull, the legendary comedian and television star, has died. He was 80.

Her daughter, Maggie Mull, announced the news in an Instagram post on Friday, June 28.

“I am heartbroken to learn that my father died at home on June 27, after a valiant fight against a long illness,” revealed his daughter.

“He was known for excelling in every creative discipline imaginable and also for doing commercials for Red Roof Inn,” she continued. “He thought that joke was funny. He never failed to laugh.”

Maggie wrote that her father “will be sadly missed by his wife and daughter, his friends and colleagues, his fellow artists, actors and musicians and, as a sign of a truly exceptional person, many, many dogs. I loved him very much.”

The actor rose to fame in the 1970s after starring in the soap opera parody series Marie Hartman, Marie Hartman and its repercussions, Fernwood 2 nights And America 2 nights.

Viewers in the 1990s knew Mull from his roles on popular shows like Sabrina, the Teenage Witch And Roseanne.
