Marshall County man arrested in Lafayette County after automobile collision – The Local Voice

On May 28, 2024 at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office received a report of a driver without a car on Highway 7. A Lafayette County Sheriff's deputy observed the vehicle near Highway 7 and Departmental road 1032 intersection.

A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, when the deputy exited his patrol car, the vehicle sped off southbound. The vehicle turned around and headed north on Route 7. The deputy pursued the vehicle.

The vehicle ended up colliding with another vehicle near the Departmental road 244 and the intersection of Highway 7. The driver then fled on foot. The suspect was subsequently arrested and identified as Larriel Milam (30 years old, black man) Marshall County.

Larriel Milam and the other party were transported to the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries following the car crash.

Larriel Milam was transported from the emergency room to Lafayette County Detention Center and received a $5,000 bond from a Lafayette County Court Judge.

Larriel is also put under the influence of the Mississippi Department of CorrectionsTHE Union County Sheriff's DepartmentTHE Oxford Police DepartmentTHE Panola County Sheriff's DepartmentAnd Shelby County Sheriff's Department.
