Margate Crime Update: 2 women arrested for altering checks

Thanks to our joint efforts with the Margate Police Department To share updates with residents, here is a summary of Margate crime and arrests through June 8, 2024.

Flight

Walmart was the victim of a larceny – A petty theft of 1 degree 100 less and $750 on Atlantic Blvd was reported on 06/04/2024. The total estimated loss was $344

Flight

A Theft Victim – All Others on N State Road 7 was reported on 06/06/2024. The total estimated loss was $880.

Dollar General was the victim of a retail theft/shoplifting incident at 5000 Coconut Creek Parkway, reported on 06/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $320.

Harbor Freight Tools was the victim of a Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 5365 W Atlantic Blvd, reported on 06/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $149.

Battery

A Battery victim on NW 66 Terrace was reported on 06/04/2024.

An aggravated battery victim on NW State 2 was reported on 06/05/2024.

Exploitation of the elderly

A victim of elder exploitation on N State Road 7 was reported on 05/06/2024.

Aggravated assault

A victim of aggravated assault on NW 18 Street was reported on 06/05/2024.

Burglary

A victim of a vehicle burglary on Coral Lake Drive was reported on 06/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,000.

A victim of a burglary in a building/structure on state road S 7 was reported on 06/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,984.

A victim of a burglary on NW 24 Court was reported on 06/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,202.

A victim of a burglary on Royal Palm Blvd was reported on 06/09/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,000.

Arrests

Ramos, Stanley Bernard, 44, was arrested on 06/04/2024 at 5555 W Atlantic Blvd for Theft – Petit Theft 1 Degree 100 Under $750.

Moody, Joseph Lamar, 32, was arrested on 06/04/2024 at 700 S State Road 7 for Theft – Other Theft.

Bromfield, Jaydon Giovani, 24, was arrested for contact or battery/domestic violence on Northwest 66th Terrace on 06/04/2024.

Mcgill, Torrence Ellis, 37, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery Causing Bodily Harm/Dating Violence on NW 2 Street on 06/05/2024.

Thomas, Tracy F., 56, was arrested for Aggravated Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony – Domestic Violence at NW 18 Street on 05/06/2024.

Hudson, Marvin H., 38, was arrested on a warrant charge (Aggravated Assault/Deadly Weapon) at 1915 NW 65 Avenue on 06/07/2024.

Wright, Michele Lianna, 49, was arrested for Fraud – Failure to Redeliver a Rental Vehicle at 3011 Rock Island Road on 06/08/2024.

Buritica Vasquez, Valentina, 21, was arrested for Pass Forgery – Altering a Cash Check at 5817 Margate Blvd on 06/10/2024.

Zelaya Alonzo, Pamela Yamileth, 19, was arrested on a charge of Forgery – Altering a Cash Check at 5817 Margate Blvd on 06/10/2024.
