Man with fake bomb identified after fatal police-involved shooting

BLUE LAKE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) – The man who was fatally shot by a law enforcement officer Saturday during an hours-long standoff near the Muskegon-Oceana county line has been identified as Jonathan Jurecki, 44 years old.

He was killed near Nichols and Skeels roads.

Jurecki had claimed he was going to kill everyone and said he had a bomb strapped to his body.

The explosive turned out to be fake.
