Man wanted in connection with stabbing during fight in downtown Oshawa

A man who was fighting for his life after being stabbed Tuesday morning in downtown Oshawa is now expected to survive.

The crime scene was closed for several hours while investigators searched for suspects and witnesses.

However, no arrests have been made and no suspect description has been released.

“The victim's condition has since improved and become stable, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” Gluckstein said.

The assault occurred in an area that has recently been a hotbed of violence.

A 22-year-old man has been charged after another man was stabbed near Simcoe and Bagot streets on March 28.

And a 26-year-old man was stabbed during a fight near Bruce and Simcoe streets. on April 15.
