Man stabs woman multiple times in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Florida – A man stabbed a woman multiple times Saturday in Lauderhill, police said.

According to Sergeant Parys Thomas, a spokesman for the Lauderhill Police Department, officers responded to a home around 6:15 p.m. along Northwest 12th Street, between 58th and 56th avenues.

Lauderhill police officers found the injured woman inside the home. Lauderhill Fire Department personnel also responded and took the woman to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

“She is currently in critical condition,” Thomas wrote in a statement released shortly after 7:30 p.m.

A man fled the scene after the stabbing. He later turned himself in to the Lauderhill Police Department, Thomas said. Detectives were investigating the stabbing.
