Man stabbed, two others injured during large fights in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood

Boston police were investigating after a man was stabbed following an altercation in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Police said someone called 911 around 4:20 p.m. Monday to say about 20 children were fighting at 314 Wood Avenue. When they arrived, police found a 45-year-old man stabbed in the stomach. Police said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Neighbors said they heard a lot of children screaming at that time, just after school let out. “We were just in the house and all we could hear was yelling and screaming,” said a witness who asked not to be identified. said shortly after, eight to nine people were reported injured a short distance away on River Street. These two scenes are believed to be linked, according to WCVB's Shaun Chaiyabhat. Boston EMS and police responded to this scene just outside of Boston Prep. First responders said they took two people to area hospitals.

When police arrived, they found a 45-year-old man stabbed in the stomach. Police said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Neighbors said they heard a lot of children screaming around that time, just after school let out.

“We were just in the house and all we could hear was yelling and screaming,” said a witness who asked not to be identified.

Police said a short time later, eight to nine people were injured nearby on River Street.

These two scenes are believed to be related, according to WCVB's Shaun Chaiyabhat.

Boston EMS and police responded to this scene just outside of Boston Prep.

First responders said they took two people to area hospitals.
