Man stabbed to death after argument at downtown Atlanta gas station – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Atlanta police say a man died downtown after an argument at a gas station left him stabbed.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, Lt. Andrew Smith said the assault happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Ted Turner Drive and Brotherton Street.

That's where police found the man stabbed multiple times inside a white van. The van's tires were also slashed on the driver's side.

Smith said the incident itself began at a nearby gas station, where two men argued over money.

“When I arrived, they located a man who had been stabbed multiple times inside the vehicle behind me. That man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries. Right now we have the incident caught on camera and the alleged perpetrator is in custody at this point,” Smith said.

At this time, police continue to take witness statements and review footage of the incident.

Neither the victim nor the suspect have yet been identified.
