Man stabbed on Taylor Street leaves one dead

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department announced Sunday that a man involved in a stabbing incident near the 500 block of Taylor Street has died at a local hospital.

While attempting to find and interview witnesses, CCPD said they encountered another man, later identified as Ruben Castro Jr., 26, who appeared injured.

He was transported to the CCPD main station for questioning after being medically cleared at a local hospital.

Castro was then taken to the city detention center where he was incarcerated and charged with murder.
