Man stabbed in neck after apparent argument over bike: SDPD

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was stabbed in the neck Sunday evening in Mission Valley East, San Diego police said.


The incident was reported around 10:45 p.m. in the area of ​​7700 Hazard Center Drive. According to SDPD, the victim, identified as a man in his 40s, was walking to a store when the suspect yelled at him to stay away from his bike, which was near the store door.

The suspect then approached the man and cut his neck with an unknown object, SDPD said. He suffered a one-inch laceration and was transported to a nearby hospital after the incident for treatment. Authorities added that the injury was not life-threatening.

The suspect was last seen leaving the scene on a bicycle, heading toward Hazard Center Drive. He was described as being approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. with short hair, according to SDPD. He last wore a burgundy long-sleeved shirt. His age is unknown.
