Man stabbed in Chinatown after refusing to give money to person: sources

CHINATOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was stabbed Thursday in Manhattan's Chinatown after telling a person who asked him for money that he didn't have any, law enforcement sources said.

The stabbings happened at Division and Eldridge streets around 9:15 a.m., according to the FDNY.


The victim, aged 45, was stabbed in the shoulder after telling another man who asked him for money that he did not have any, police sources said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, authorities said.

Police did not provide any additional information about the suspect, who has not been arrested.
