Man stabbed father during fight in Georgetown County, deputies say

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WBTW) — A Georgetown County man faces an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing his father Wednesday night, authorities said.

Walker Dwane Bone was treated at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital and then booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center after the incident on Lamb Road, Sheriff Carter Weaver's office said. His father was also transported to a regional hospital where he was treated for two lacerations.

Deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. to investigate a report of a home invasion. According to the sheriff's office, Bone's father told police he did not know his attacker. However, investigators later determined that he had been stabbed during a fight with his son.
