Man stabbed during fight at West Miami-Dade LA Fitness, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – Medics took two men to an area hospital after a fight at a west Miami-Dade gym led to a stabbing Thursday morning, according to police.

A Miami-Dade Police Department spokesperson said it happened around 8 a.m. at LA Fitness, at 14100 SW Eighth St., near the Tamiami area.

This spokesperson said that the stabbed man, as well as the “subject”, injured during the fight, were both hospitalized and stable around 9:45 a.m.

Authorities have not yet publicly identified the “subject” or victim, or indicated whether they intend to file charges in the case.

Police said their investigation continued into the morning.
