Man shot in leg near Findlay Market in Cincinnati, police say

A man is under arrest in connection with a shooting Sunday afternoon near Findlay Market.

In a news release, Cincinnati police said Ralph Burnette, 25, was charged with felonious assault. He is accused of shooting a 28-year-old man, found with a gunshot wound to the leg near the Over-the-Rhine market.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Elm Street at 2:38 p.m. for a reported shooting. The victim was found at the scene and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where police say he is now in stable condition.

Following the shooting, police closed Findlay Street between Elm Street and Central Parkway, but it has since reopened and the scene is cleared.
