A man was shot and killed by a Craig police officer and a Moffat County sheriff's deputy Friday night at a trailer park, officials said Saturday.

On Friday, around 9:40 p.m., a Craig Police Department officer and a Moffat County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to reports of a man with a gun in the mobile home community of Cedar Mountain – located at 925 West 1st St. in Craig – according to a joint press release from the two departments.

When the two men arrived on scene, they found a man brandishing a handgun, the release states.

Information about what happened after the officer and his deputy arrived was not available, but the incident ended when law enforcement shot the man, according to the press release.
