Man shot, another stabbed in Phoenix, police say

PHOENIX – One man was shot dead and another was stabbed Phoenix Thursday evening, the police department said on July 4.

Around 8:45 p.m. near Camelback Road and Central AvenuePhoenix police responded to the scene and found one man shot and another stabbed.

The man who was shot died at the scene and the stabbing victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects had been found as of 10:15 p.m. Thursday evening.

“This incident is not related to the Fabulous Phoenix Four event. The event is not affected and there is no immediate threat to the community,” said Phoenix Police Sergeant Phil Krynsky.

The deceased victim has not been identified.

There is no information on what led to this incident.
