Man remanded in custody for stabbing his mother with scissors

TOWN OF GEORGE: Police have obtained an order to remand in custody a man who allegedly stabbed his mother to death with scissors in an apartment in Relau yesterday.

Contacted by Bernama, Timur Laut district police chief ACP Razlam Ab Hamid said the remand for the 40-year-old suspect was for seven days until June 22.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
