Man Known to Cheyenne Store Owners as 'Wisdom' Arrested on Warrant

A 42-year-old Cheyenne man wanted by the Laramie County Sheriff's Office after allegedly threatening a gas station attendant is now behind bars.

The sheriff's office announced Thursday afternoon on Facebook that Cheyenne police arrested Joshua Hayden-Ali on a warrant for trespassing and breach of peace.

According to the post, a deputy was called to the Safeway gas station, located at 810 S. Greeley Hwy. on June 20, 2024, after Hayden-Ali allegedly threatened an attendant, but he had left when the deputy arrived, so the deputy requested a warrant for his arrest.

Sheriff's Office: 'We are aware of the concerns of downtown store owners'

The sheriff's office says Hayden-Ali is well known to Cheyenne business owners as “Wisdom” and is described as the 6-foot-4 man who wields a stick and makes numerous death threats against people downtown.

“We wanted to let the community know that we are aware of the concerns of downtown merchants and are working with our mental health counselors to find a possible solution,” the message read.
