Man kills younger brother while making charcoal

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu- A 43-year-old man died after being stabbed by his elder brother using a “bolo” in Purok Thailand, Barangay Libertad in Bogo City on Sunday afternoon 9 June 2024, around 3:00 a.m.

The victim of the Bogo stabbing was identified as Nestor Sayson Limpag, 43, a construction worker and resident of Purok Texas of the said barangay.

Meanwhile, his elder brother was identified as Benjie Sayson Limpag, 46, also a construction worker and resident of the said place.

According to the investigation by the Bogo police station, the two men were making charcoal last Sunday.

Suddenly, the two had an altercation which resulted in their fight.

During their scuffle, the elder brother suddenly took out his bolo and stabbed the victim in the left sternal region of his body.

The Bogo stabbing victim was rushed to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City but was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

The suspect was immediately arrested by the responding police and is currently in the custody of the Bogo police station.

Police are currently preparing appropriate charges to bring against the Bogo stabbing suspect.
