Man killed, woman seriously injured in Denver shooting

A man was killed and a woman seriously injured in a shooting in Denver on Saturday, according to Denver police.

Denver police received a call about the shooting around 6:26 p.m. Saturday, according to the department, and announced the incident on X around 6:49 p.m.

The shooting happened near the intersection of West 5th Avenue and North Sheridan Boulevard, according to police. Two victims were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, the post said.

One victim, an adult male, was pronounced deceased and the other victim, an adult female, was seriously injured but in stable condition, according to a 7:47 p.m. update from the department.

The victims of the shooting have not yet been publicly identified and there are currently no suspects, according to the department.
