Man killed in Southeast DC shooting identified

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it has identified a man who was shot in southeast Washington DC on Saturday afternoon.

Police said around 4:10 p.m., they responded to the 2700 block of Shipley Terrace for a report of a shooting.

The man died instantly. He has been identified as Dionzae Foote, 29, of Oxon Hill, Maryland.

The MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
