Man killed in shooting near Saginaw convenience store

SAGINAW, MI – Police are investigating a shooting near a convenience store in Saginaw that left one person dead, Michigan State Police said.

The identity of the 28-year-old man killed has not been released.

The police said the shooting took place around 8 a.m. Saturday, June 15, near the T&M grocery store near Genessee and Webber streets.

The man who was shot was taken to an area hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries, police said. There are no suspects in custody.

The investigation remains active and continues late Sunday morning.
