Man killed in Marshalltown shooting

A man is dead after a shooting in Marshalltown Saturday morning. First responders were dispatched to the Center Street Station Bar around 1:20 a.m. Marshalltown police said the man was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital, where he later died. Chief Michael Tupper said the scene was chaotic when officers first arrived. “I just let it go, there were a lot of people leaving the bar. Every time something like this happens it attracts more people. Our officers were busy when they arrived. We are still investigating what happened. It’s passed,” Tupper said. “Some of what happened was filmed, which is useful to us.” No arrests have been made at this time. Police continue to investigate the incident.

A man is dead after a shooting in Marshalltown Saturday morning.

Marshalltown police said the man was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Chief Michael Tupper said the scene was chaotic when officers arrived on scene.

“The bar was just starting to close, there were a lot of people leaving the bar. Every time something like this happens it attracts more people. Our officers were busy when they arrived. We are still investigating this happened,” Tupper said. said. “Some of what happened was filmed, which is useful to us.”

No arrests have been made at this time.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
