Man killed in Beadle County motorcycle crash identified

BEADLE COUNTY, SD (KELO) — Authorities have identified the person killed June 7 in a single-vehicle crash near Bonilla, South Dakota.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety said John M. Wenzel, 66, was traveling south on U.S. 281 on a motorcycle. Wenzel entered the southbound shoulder, lost control of the motorcycle and entered the west ditch. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
