A man with a prior criminal history in the Lakes area is now facing charges over a stabbing incident at a Branson bar.

Rauly Cancel-Ramos faces one count of first-degree assault and armed criminal action in connection with allegations he stabbed a man at Crazy Craig's Cheeky Monkey Bar in Branson on Saturday, June 1 .

According to court documents published by the Branson Tri-Lakes News, a Taney County deputy was dispatched to the bar for an assault involving a stabbing. When the officer arrived, they found a victim with a cut about six inches long on his left leg, deep enough to expose bone. Cancel-Ramos and the victim got into a confrontation inside the bar and were escorted out of the business. Later, while the two people were outside, Cancel-Ramos stabbed the victim in the leg. Cancel-Ramos was found by officers, escaped once, but was later recaptured with the help of a Branson Police K-9 officer.

Cancel-Ramos also has a drug trafficking charge against him stemming from an incident in February. He is currently being held without bail in the Taney County Jail.

A full recap of this incident and the February incident can be found on the Branson Tri-Lakes News website.
