Man incarcerated at Sacramento County Main Jail has died, sheriff says

A 29-year-old man incarcerated at the Sacramento County Main Jail died early Saturday, the sheriff's office said. The sheriff's office said officers were conducting a cell check at 5-East 300 Pod and saw the man unconscious. Deputies, medical personnel and later Sacramento Fire Department personnel tried to save lives, but the man died at the jail around 2:15 a.m. The sheriff's office is investigating. The sheriff's office is investigating.
