Detective Inspector Guy Turnbull said: “This assault took place during the day in the city centre, close to the park, which we believe was very busy.

“We hope this means someone may have seen something or have CCTV or dash cam footage that could help with the investigation. »

He said police were seeking to speak to three men as part of the investigation.

One of the men is described as black, aged in his 20s, wearing a gray tracksuit with a hood, a black jacket and white sneakers, with his hair in African braids.

The second is described as black, in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a black hooded tracksuit and black sneakers.

The third is described as being of mixed race, with afro-style hair parted to the side, thick eyebrows and a slim build.

Police say he was wearing a light grey tracksuit and carrying a black bag, and believe he was riding a grey or silver bike with a white and black pattern in the middle of the handlebars.

Detective Inspector Turnbull appealed for anyone who had seen the men or had any further information to contact police.
