Man hit by roller coaster in Kings Island, Ohio

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The man who was struck by a roller coaster at Kings Island Wednesday evening has been identified.


According to our partners at WLWT, the Mason Police Department identified the man as Arntanaro Nelson, 38, of Wilmington, Ohio.

Nelson allegedly entered a restricted area around the Banshee roller coaster to retrieve his keys. While in the fenced area, the man was struck by the roller coaster.

Nelson remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

The ride reopened Saturday morning after inspection.
