Man hit by minivan while crossing street near Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A 34-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street, according to Michigan State Police.

The man is in critical condition, police said in a statement. post onformerly Twitter.

Officers responded to a report at 7:50 a.m. of a crash that occurred Thursday, May 30, along Alpine Avenue near Alpenhorn Drive and Henze Street.

Police said a 34-year-old man crossed the street and was struck by a minivan. The man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the minivan, a 27-year-old Newaygo, was not injured.

As of late Thursday morning, the accident was still under investigation.
