Man Grabs Teenage Girl on Harlem Subway, NYPD Says

A subway attacker remains at large after beating a 15-year-old girl on a Harlem subway train, police said.

HARLEM, N.Y. — A gunman who attacked a teenage girl aboard a Harlem subway train remains at large, police said.

The man, who has not yet been identified, groped a 15-year-old girl's private parts as she rode a northbound “A” train near the subway station at West 125th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue around noon on June 29, authorities said.

According to police, an unknown man approached the teenager and forcibly touched her “private parts” over her clothes.

The man fled after what NYPD officials said police were investigating as a violent contact incident.

The teenager did not suffer any physical injuries, police said.

Authorities described the attacker as a man about 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds, of medium build, wearing a gray tank top, camouflage shorts, brown sandals and carrying a white plastic shopping bag.

Police also released an image of a person they claim is linked to the incident.
