Man gets into 2 fights, stabbed at Aurora RTD station (police)

DENVER (KDVR) — Aurora police were searching for a suspect Monday afternoon after a man was stabbed at an RTD station.

An Aurora Police Department spokesperson said the victim was involved in two fights, including one in which she was stabbed, and was taken to the hospital “with serious injuries.” “.


Officers were first dispatched around 3:10 p.m. to the Aurora Metro Center RTD station at 14555 E. Centrepoint Drive.

Police say the victim got into a verbal fight with another man and used racial slurs before it became physical. When the victim broke away from that fight, he got into a physical fight with another man and was stabbed, according to police.

Police later said someone had been arrested in connection with the investigation, but that person's involvement in the incident was not immediately certain. The man involved in the first fight gave a statement to police, but had not been arrested or cited as of Monday afternoon.

The investigation was ongoing.
