Man found stabbed to death near South Bay intersection

Detectives are investigating after a man was found stabbed to death Tuesday at a busy South Bay intersection.

Deputies responded to reports of a stabbing near 111th Street and Larch Avenue in the Lennox neighborhood around 12:24 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.


When police arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a stab wound lying on the ground.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No suspects were spotted in the area, the LASD said. The details leading up to the violent encounter remain unclear, but a large Infiniti SUV was seen towed away from the intersection by authorities.

Citizen video showed that much of the street was cordoned off while officers investigated the scene.

Detectives were also seen investigating another location near Imperial Highway and Hawthorne Boulevard in Hawthorne that may be connected to the incident.

The deadly attack remains under investigation.
