Man found stabbed in Schenectady, police investigating

Bergen County Mosquito Control has announced a truck spraying operation to combat mosquito activity in Oakland. Spraying is scheduled for early Monday, July 8, 2024, from 3:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. During this time, Duet adulticide will be used to target active adult mosquitoes.

Residents in the affected area are advised to keep their windows closed during spraying. The spraying operation will focus on areas north of Highway 287 and east of Ramapo Valley Road. If rain occurs on Monday, spraying will be postponed until the following day, Tuesday, July 9.

The Schenectady Police Department is actively investigating a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at approximately 8:03 p.m., in the 300 block of Furman Street. Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims suffering from stab wounds. Both individuals were quickly transported to Albany Medical Center, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

A nearby residence on McClellan Street, near Becker Street, is believed to be linked to the incident and was secured by police as part of the investigation. Baltimore, MD – In the early hours of today, at approximately 1:49 a.m., Southwest District Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of West Franklin Street in response to a report of a shooting.
