1 killed in North Highlands shooting, sheriff's office says

We follow the Northern Highlands, where Sacramento County sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that left a man dead. So this happened on Myrtle Avenue, near White Avenue, in Roseville. We go back to KCRA 3, Melanie Wingo and Melanie, you just had to speak with the sheriff's office. Yeah, a little while ago we spoke with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, and we have a little more information to give you all that's happening around 9 p.m. this morning, according to the Sheriff's Office, c That's when they received a call about a shooting at THIS BUSINESS PARK. And when first responders got here, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound. We now have video to show you earlier this morning when we arrived on scene, a lot of Meyers investigators have a lot to piece together on this one. It's still unclear exactly how this happened, but what investigators are telling us is that they're going to try to extract whatever information they can from this business park itself. Of course, we are or just where we see cameras attached to the buildings here in this area. So what they're going to do is try to review the surveillance video from the scene. ALSO, SURVEILLANCE VIDEOS OF NEARBY INYO INTERSECTIONS, OF COURSE. WATT AVENUE IS VERY CLOSE. We are near MCCLELLAN Park and so all of these things will be assembled here. According to the sheriff's office, here's what they had to say about this evidence at this shopping complex here. Obviously, street cameras around here. SO IT'S A VERY DEVELOPED AND BUSY AREA, BUT NOT AT 9:5 PM. Again, a lot to work on, a lot of little special facts that investigators are going to work on to hopefully try to find who did this. We're not far from the exact location where they found this individual dead. So we'll be out all morning trying to find out if they have a clear idea of how this person died. Deputies were dispatched around 2:15 a.m. to the Watt 80 Business Park, at Myrtle Avenue and Roseville Road. When they arrived at the parking lot, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound. NORTH HIGHLANDS, California —

A man was shot and killed early Monday morning in the North Highlands, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were dispatched around 2:15 a.m. to Watt 80 Business Park at Myrtle Avenue and Roseville Road. When they arrived in the parking lot, they discovered a man dead from a gunshot wound.

No arrests have been announced at this time.
