Man found shot after Roanoke car crash identified

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — Roanoke police have released the name of a man who was killed June 13.

Just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Roanoke Fire-EMS responded to a crash on Cornell Drive NW, where they found a crashed vehicle in a shed. The individual inside was unresponsive and had what appeared to be a serious gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Roanoke police said the victim was identified as Dontae R. Muse, 21, of Roanoke.

Police said that was the only information they had at this time. No suspects were located at the scene at the time of the crash and no arrests were made.
