Man found dead on motorbike after targeted shooting in Birmingham

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in the North Titusville neighborhood of Birmingham. It happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of 1st Avenue South and Center Street North, according to the Birmingham Police Department. Police said residents in the area heard gunshots and called 911. This motorcycle was still stopped at a stop sign at the intersection when WVTM 13 arrived on scene.

“The victim was stopped on or while riding his motorcycle when someone shot him,” said Officer Truman Fitzgerald. “And based on everything we observed and collected, we believe the victim was targeted.”
