Man faces charges for alleged sex crimes with teenage girls in Miami-Dade

MIAMI – A 16-year-old girl recently told police that her boyfriend was a 37-year-old man and that he had sex with her and her 17-year-old friend during a visit to her home in the county of Miami-Dade, records show.

Christopher Emmanuel Westbrook was at the Metrowest Detention Center near Doral on Thursday following the alleged May 15 crimes at his home in Miami's Brownsville neighborhood, just west of Liberty City.

Miami-Dade detectives reported that while at the police department's Special Victims Unit office Wednesday in Doral, Westbrook “admitted but denied allegations of sexual assault.”

Detectives arrested Westbrook and corrections officers arrested him Wednesday. Court records show Miami-Dade prosecutors filed two complaints against him and he appeared in bond court Thursday.

In the case of the 17-year-old victim, Westbrook faced a charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. A bail court judge set his bond for that charge at $7,500.

In the case of the 16-year-old victim, Westbrook faced a charge of sexual assault of a minor by an adult. Inmate records show being held without bail for pretrial detention.

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Albert Milian was scheduled to preside over both cases.
