Man died after crashing into Oregon lake identified

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Man Who Died after crashing his car into Foster Lake Friday afternoon, was identified Monday by authorities.

Robert Anderson, 22, was found dead after the 1997 Toyota 4Runner he was driving was found submerged in water, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.

“Deputies learned that Anderson was westbound on North River when the vehicle struck the embankment on the north side of the road. This caused the Toyota to overturn before entering the lake. At this time, it is unknown what caused Anderson to initially drive off the road,” authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing.
